Jared is a trial attorney who practices extensively in the areas of insurance defense and coverage issues, municipal liability, commercial/business disputes, and appellate litigation. After graduating in 2003 from William and Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Virgina, Jared spent two years as a clerk for the Third District Court of Appeals in Lima, Ohio, where he worked primarily for Judge Sumner Walters and Judge Richard Rogers. While at the Third District he was involved with numerous published decisions and also worked with Judge Robert Cupp, who since been elected to the Ohio Supreme Court.
Jared is admitted to practice law in Ohio and before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and serves as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau. He is a member of both the Ohio State and Dayton Bar Associations, in addition to the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, The Defense Research Institute, and the Volunteer Lawyers Project. Jared joined Green & Green in 2005 and became a shareholder in 2008. He has been selected by his peers as a Rising Star in the field of insurance coverage, a distinction awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state, and he was also selected to become a Fellow in the Litigation counsel of America Trial Lawyer Honorary Society. In 2010 Jared was named as one of the top forty professionals under the age of forty in the greater Dayton metropolitan area.
Jared was born in Front Royal, Virginia but spent most of his youth in West Chester, Ohio. He attended Ohio Northern University for his undergraduate education, where he was three year varsity letterman in football and graduated in 2000 with High Distinction. While at ONU Jared was a member of Phi Kappa Theta social fraternity and Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society. He currently resides in Kettering with his wife Cara and their son Noah. He was elected to the worship commission for his local church parish, Saint Albert the Great, is a member of the Knights of Columbus Maria-Joseph Council 4022, and is a volunteer strength and conditioning coach for Madison High School in Middletown, Ohio.
