Jared graduated with High Distinction in 2000 from Ohio Northern University (ONU), where he received degrees in political science and criminal justice. While at ONU, Jared was a member of the varsity football team, earning 3 varsity letters and 1st team academic all region honors. In 2003, he received his Juris Doctor from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he was a Dean’s Associate and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children. After law school, Jared clerked for Sumner Walters and Richard Rogers of the Ohio Third District Court of Appeals in Lima, Ohio. While a clerk with the Third District, Jared was responsible for researching, drafting, and editing many published opinions.
Jared is admitted to practice law in Ohio and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and serves as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau's Auto Line program. He concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance coverage and related issues, commercial business disputes, personal injury litigation, and appellate law. He is a member of both the Ohio State and Dayton Bar Associations in addition to the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court and the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys (OACTA). Jared is also active in the Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Dayton Young Professionals Association.
