Focusing on a variety of business legal matters, such as contracts, commercialization of intellectual property, and corporate governance needs, Marcie also has a background in international trade compliance, including navigating the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations and requirements. Marcie enjoys working with Ohio’s small businesses and helping them reduce their risk in the international arena as well as by building compliance programs.
Prior to joining Green & Green, Marcie worked as a corporate law attorney, as a contract specialist for Collins Aerospace handling multi-million dollar contracts as well as assisting nonprofits in the Dayton and Cincinnati communities with their transactional business legal needs.
Marcie is a member of both the Dayton Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. She participates in the Southern Ohio District Export Council as well as Xavier University’s Cintas Institute for Business Ethics Advisory Board, which focuses on corporate compliance and ethics. Marcie has been a recognized Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) with the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics since 2017. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Dayton School of Law, was Business Editor of UDSL’s Law Review, a Dean’s Fellow and obtained CALI awards for the highest scoring student in eleven of her classes.
When not practicing law she enjoys reading, dancing, and hiking and hunting down red and green chile from New Mexico. She also enjoys spending time with her four children.
