Peter F. von Meister
Peter’s practice emphasizes business, commercial, financial, employment, construction, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, complex contracts and transactions, professional malpractice, and litigation in these areas, including class actions. A graduate of Knox College (1969) and the University of Cincinnati College of Law (1972), Peter is admitted to practice before all courts and agencies of Ohio, the District of Columbia, Virginia, and the Federal District Courts for Ohio’s Southern and Northern Districts, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fourth, Sixth, and D.C. Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court, and has practiced before the United States International Trade Commission.
Peter is a member of the American, Ohio, Cincinnati, and Dayton Bar Associations, the Miami Valley Trial Lawyers Association, and the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Lawyers. He is certified and serves often as a Mediator for the Federal Courts of the Southern District of Ohio, and has served extensively as a securities dispute arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the New York Stock Exchange. Peter is active with the Dayton Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service and the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project.
