Sean P. McCormick
Sean is a 2011 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law (cum laude). He is admitted to practice in Ohio, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Sean’s practice focuses on employment, labor, insurance defense and coverage issues, commercial and business litigation, personal injury, estate administration and probate.
Sean is a member of the American, Federal, Ohio State and Dayton Bar Associations, in addition to the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project and Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court. While in law school, Sean served as both research editor and staff editor for the Dayton Law Review. He received CALI awards for excellence in the classroom in Civil Procedure, Professional Responsibility, and his externship with Southern District of Ohio Judge Thomas M. Rose. Sean has published several articles in legal periodicals, including one in the Dayton Law Review.
Sean was born and raised in Dayton and currently resides in Kettering with his wife Liz and daughter Annabelle. He graduated from Alter High School and is an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Dayton Country Club. He received his B.A. from Centre College where he was a three varsity letterman in football and golf. The Centre golf team named an award in his honor, which is given annually to the senior golfer who exhibits academic excellence, social responsibility and an unwavering commitment to the game of golf. Before attending law school, Sean spent two years as an assistant football coach at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.
